Thought you might find these pictures useful  taken today at Southport Scale day .

The warship on the water is Richard Motyka's superb 1:72  all scratch built Sovremenniy class Russian Destroyer. Richard was awarded Best warship,  best scratch built  and best in show..A further example is in the detail  on  this  missile fire control radar on his second unfinished model  of  a Russian "Udaloy" class destroyer. Hope you can show these.It's one of the most detailed models I've come across.

If the number of models and modellers was a barometer on how good a show is then I think Southport Scale day /national lifeboat regatta is experiencing some thing of a revival. I'll send you some general shots.
